OpenSplice DDS Editions

The OpenSplice DDS technology offering is organized around four different editions, namely, the Community, Compact, Professional and Enterprise Editions. Each edition’s feature set has been designed to address the needs of increasingly sophisticated systems and users.

The OpenSplice DDS Community Edition is available as Open Source; the other value-add Editions are accessible via commercial subscriptions through PrismTech.

Community Edition
The OpenSplice DDS Community Edition is available as Open Source and is freely downloadable. This edition is licensed under LGPL and provides a great way of getting started with OpenSplice DDS.

Compact Edition
The OpenSplice DDS Compact Edition is available only by subscription. In addition to the features provided by the Community Edition the Compact Edition includes model-driven engineering (MDE) PowerTools to boost your development productivity and the OpenSplice DDS Tuner tool to help optimize your system performance.

Professional Edition
The OpenSplice DDS Professional Edition unleashes the full power of the OMG DDS technology, enhancing the Compact Edition with the Object Cache Object/Relational Mapping layer (DLRL), along with the SOAP-Connector.

Enterprise Edition
The OpenSplice DDS Enterprise Edition delivers a technology platform that enriches the most powerful messaging technology available on the market with connectors to the enterprise, such as the DBMS and SOAP, along with the Spike Absorber technology which extends the ability of OpenSplice DDS to smoothly manage even the most demanding spikes in message traffic.
